december fandom fest
Posting here after a brief discussion on the BSC discord about running a December fandom fest. I guess I want to gauge interest to see if it's worth doing?
It wouldn't be an exchange, but an excuse for people to voluntarily swap/give gifts in the form of BSC-themed treats of some kind:
- Fic
- Fan art
- Icons
- Gifs
- Headcanon/not!fic
- ?
If people are keen, I'm thinking I'll just make an AO3 collection and everyone can go ham and post to it and gift people things (unless people want to post a bunch of gifts which don't necessarily belong on AO3, in which case I'll host it here). We're a small fandom, so mostly we know each other, but I'm happy to still have an official sign up post for this so people can post their AO3 names and any other details they want to share (like fav books, characters, storylines, pairings, tropes etc). I'm planning on making the reveal around Christmas but happy to push it back a bit (like a week or so) if I've left things a bit late and you've got other things to focus on.
It won't be a big commitment, it's all entirely voluntary and there will be no minimum requirement. I will try my damndest to make sure everyone who signs up gets at least one gift.
I've got a poll just to gauge interest but please note a bunch of "nopes" doesn't mean the fest won't go ahead, I just want to confirm how many people WILL be interested and if there's enough to run something like this, even if it's not the majority outcome.

I'm usually in the discord (even if I'm not showing online) if you want to PM me/ask me stuff -- otherwise comment below :) I'm in Australia so time zones might mean I don't necessarily answer/appear online at times convenient to others.
