First of all: Jamie was wide-eyed with disbelief at what his beloved Kristy had just said. -best sentence in the book!
This was the moment I realized I am more like Kristy now than I thought I would be, since I have also hyperbolically threatened children in order to make them behave. That was pretty funny.
I always thought it was perfect that as the Nancy Drew enthusiast, Claudia got the first (unofficial) mystery book. And hey, the policeman that came was called Officer Drew!
I didn't notice this, but aaaaw! :)
I love the image of baby BSC all sprawled out in a yard, still not quite sure how to do things together as a group of friends.
Same. They hadn't quite figured how how they clicked as a group yet, and it's kind of cute.
the ongoing threat of how the Phantom Caller might also be in the house as you is still so creepy. I like to think Babysitters Beware took all the creepy factors in this book and turned them up to eleven.
SO CREEPY. As silly as the girls were in this book, the idea that someone else could be in the house is super upsetting.
